The Silver Tellus is often considered to be Entreq’s classic ground box.

Over the past 8 years I have supplied a lot of them, both the original and the more recent Silver Tellus Infinity. The new Silver Tellus Tungsten is the 3rd generation of the Silver Tellus and Entreq have further refined the performance and flexibility of this new version.

Every iteration of the Silver Tellus has been a fairly heavy box and this new Tungsten version is no different, weighing in at 20kg, it follows the same approximate shape as the older versions and is 440m wide x 155mm high and 320mm deep.

The Silver Tellus Tungsten has 4 ground posts on the back and it is divided into a 2 cell construction, you could use this for negative output grounding on an amplifier or connect digital components to one cell and analogue components to another, the multi-cell ground boxes always offer superb flexibility.

As ever with Entreq the remit of the Silver Tellus Tungsten is to improve performance by removing noise, interference and pollution present in the signal path – making the sound more natural and organic with greater refinement, improved detail and better musicality. Noise is present is every element of a system, you obviously can’t hear this noise, but you when you remove it the level of upgrade you can achieve can be quite profound.
