We have for sale a dCS Purcell Upsampler

This unit is pre-owned and is approximately 23 years old, Serial Number is P0521

This unit is no longer supported by dCS

Very good condition given age, few signs of wear, but no nasty marks or scratches

Tested and working as intended

This is the original version of the Purcell and it does not have Firewire, Toslink or Word Clock connections – this is reflected in the price.

The Purcell is a Digital to Digital Converter, you feed it a digital (16/44.1 from CD) and the Purcell will upsample it to a higher bit depth/sample rate and output that signal to a DAC. The Purcell will upsample to 24/192, it will not upsample to DSD

44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4 and 192 are the supported sample rate outputs

The 2 AES outputs can be configured in the menu to Dual AES and will work with DAC’s that support this feature.

Supplied with instructions (although the instructions are newer than the unit) and power cable
