Series 1 is Soulnote’s entry level range, it comprises of just 3 products – an integrated amplifier, a DAC and a phonostage.

For the price points the build quality and quality of the finish is excellent, the front panels are made from thick, milled aluminium and it really looks the part. Series 1 may be Soulnote’s starting point, when you are up close with any Series 1 component based on they they look and feel you wouldn’t ever describe them as ‘entry level’, the whole range offers exceptional value for money

Soulnote do not design any products based on measured specifications, instead all of their products are designed subjectively, by ear. Minimal measurements are carried out when a product is complete purely as a confirmation of design. Non negative feedback are circuits are used throughout, they don’t measure as well, but they give Soulnote product a real sense of life.

Soulnote’s house sound is captivating and addictive, there is a real sense of richness and sweetness and dare I say it ‘soul’ about the way is music is delivered. Detail is fantastic, but it is never etched, artificial or pushed upon you, the bass response is excellent as well. For the price points the performance is very special.
