Last year Entreq made the decision to slightly update and refine their Apollo Infinity, Atlantis Infinity and Olympus Infinity ground cables by making the connection removable. Per-Olof made countless different prototypes of the bayonet and the connection on the ground cable to ensure there was no drop in performance.
Performance hasn’t changed, but what has improved is the flexibility of the cable. Order an Apollo Infinity RCA Ground Cable and you get just that, but after 6 months should you upgrade your amplifier and RCA becomes no use you can simply order a new bayonet and away you go.
Bayonets are available in the following options: RCA, XLR (both male and female), USB type A, RJ45, 3.5mm plug, spade and 5 pin din so plenty of choice, additional bayonets are £80 each.
Non-infinity ground cables can still be upgraded to the Infinity series, it costs £168 to upgrade an Apollo RCA for example (and £470 for Atlantis), upgraded cables still retain their original fixed connection, but you can request a removable bayonet for an extra £80.00
