Entreq Max T Ground Posts
Over the past few years Entreq’s range of ground boxes have been a really popular upgrade for many customers, there is an extensive range of boxes available, starting at £380 for a Macro Kit and there is a box for almost every system, application and budget.
In 2017 Entreq launched the K2 and Everest Ground Posts, these posts replaced the standard wooden nut on the back of the ground boxes (which was there only to hold the cable in place) and they were an effective upgrade for the ground box. Both posts contained a mixture of different metals/minerals similar to those found in the ground boxes and by attaching a post to a ground box, you essentially extend the ability of the box to remove noise and pollutants.
The K2 brought a richness and warmness to the presentation, whereas the Everest was more transparent and insightful, both posts were popular, sonically quite different to one another, which is better is down the system.
In 2021 Entreq released a 3rd post, the Peak 4, this essentially combined elements of both K2 and Everest into a single post and gave people a further choice, the Peak 4 quickly become the number 1 post in terms of numbers sold, it was really nicely balanced.
Many customers were initially sceptical about the benefits of these ground posts, but it never took too long listening for customers to appreciate what each of them were doing to the presentation of a system.
Fast forward to 2025 and the Entreq landscape has changed somewhat. They have released a new range of ground boxes which introduced Tungsten as a material. We now have the Silver Minimus Tungsten, Silver Tellus Tungsten, Tellus 3 Tungsten, Olympus Ten T and the Olympus Infinity T which feature Tungsten.
Each of these new models have become much more powerful compared to their previous versions, they enhance and develop textures and layering as well as improving the soundstage with better holographics and placement of detail within the soundstage. Entreq have always been good at pulling out subtle nuances and detail previously masked in the music and this has been developed even further with these new models.
Entreq’s work in developing these new ground boxes led to the release of the Max-T, a 4th ground post which replaces the K2, Everest and Peak 4, it is a marked step up over all of these previous posts.
Priced at £400 each the Max-T are incredibly powerful and deliver a really obvious uplift to any of the ground boxes, even on the entry level £380 Macro Kit a Max-T really does elevate the performance – as with the Tungsten boxes the Max-T gives you an improved slice of the same sort of performance with improved textures, layering and articulation, the music is more fluid as well.
The jump in performance with the Max-T has been so marked that the 3 original posts are now no longer available, the Max-T is the only post Entreq now produce and it isn’t just an upgrade for those using the original wooden nuts, I’ve had plenty of customers step up to Max-T and trading in their K2, Everest and Peak 4 in the process.
To that end part exchange of K2, Everest and Peak 4 is welcome, we keep plenty of Max-T in stock and ready to go.
