Shortly before Christmas Melco released new firmware (3.90 for N1A/N1ZH/N1ZS and 1.02 for N10 & N100) – this software added new functionality, including new USB DAC’s supporting Melco Markerless DSD from Brinkman, Cambridge Audio, Marantz, Mytek Brooklyn and iFi.
The Twonky Media Server has also been updated to 8.5.1 which now allows a database rescan to cover an expansion drive if connected and finally those using Windows 10 computers can connect via SMB without needing to continually enter a username or password (simply enter ‘nobody’ as both the username and password and you are good to go).
Anyone using a Mac may find they can no longer connect to their N1 after updating to 3.90 – as above simply enter ‘nobody’ as both the username and password when prompted and all will be good again.
