The Entreq Silver Minimus Tungsten is the same physical size as original Silver Minimus and Silver Minimus Infinity but this latest version has had a major upgrade as it uses the same mineral composition as the Olympus Ten Tungsten. What separates them is the Silver Minimus Tungsten uses a copper terminal on the rear and it lacks the silver mesh chassis that is present on the Olympus Ten Tungsten.

The 2 previous versions of the Silver Minimus were very popular products, compact, relatively affordable and they were incredibly effective at removing noise/pollutants from whatever you connect it to and this new version pulls further ahead of the outgoing Silver Minimus Infinity.

How do the ground boxes work?

The Entreq range of ground boxes are designed to remove noise and pollutants present in the signal path. By removing these unwanted pollutants we lower the noise floor and subsequently improve the performance of the connected product. This improves dynamics, detail retrieval whilst remaining natural and organic in presentation.

In reality you can connect anything in your system to a ground box – integrated amplifier, streamer, DAC, router, CD player, phono stage – you just need an Entreq ground cable with the right termination for your component.

Once you have connected a component to a ground box the sonic improvements can take a little while to be heard, in most cases it takes 30 minutes or so of playing music for people to hear that something has changed. Typically most systems gain greater focus and detail, the soundstage improves as well and importantly the presentation never hardens up or sound aggressive, emphasis with Entreq has always been about keeping things natural.

I find in most cases it takes 2 or 3 days for things to reach optimum performance, draining the noise/pollutants out of the signal path into box takes some time and if you disconnect the box will lose the benefits.

Ground Cables

There is an extensive range of ground cables available, they all have their place in the right system and on the right component, the different cables will deliver quite different results depending on the system and what are you looking for, some of the differences are not subtle. Apollo has consistently been the most popular cable, although there are most cost effective options for those on a budget.
