Fyne Audio F1-5 Loudspeakers
The F1-5 is the smallest speaker in Fyne’s flagship F1 Series.
It is quite a bit a more compact than its bigger brother the F1-8, it uses a 5 inch IsoFlare drive and the cabinet is 321 mm tall x 186 mm wide x 289 mm deep, but due to the BassTrax diffuser on the underside of the cabinet it isn’t difficult to integrate into a room and it is very flexible over positioning.
The F1-5 is cut from the same as cloth as the rest of the F1 Series, the same technology and expertise is employed here, albeit into a much smaller stand mount format.
The hand crafted cabinet is supported on a machined aluminium plinth that houses Fyne’s state of the art BassTrax LF diffuser. Surrounded by FyneFlute rubber surround, the IsoFlare low frequency drive unit is 5 inches in diameter (125mm) and is mated to a 19mm magnesium dome compression tweeter to create a point source, time aligned transducer delivering pure isotropic radiation across the entire audio spectrum.
As with all of the F1 models the F1-8 are designed, hand built and hand finished at Fyne Audio’s UK manufacturing facility and the lacquered burr walnut finish of all of the F1 really makes them stand out, it is a stunning finish and for the money the level of performance on offer here is quite something.
