Shunyata Research Alpha X Interconnect Cable

The Alpha X is the first cable in Shunyata’s reference line of products and it utilises a number of their patented proprietary technologies developed by Caelin Gabriel

They are available with either XLR or RCA termination, default length is 1 metre

Longer lengths are available to order, the RCA version is £165 for every additional 25cm, the XLR version is £185 – please note the RCA and XLR cables use different conductors to one another.

The Alpha X offers a dramatic jump over Gamma and Theta which are the 2 cables that site below it, it is a very open, natural sounding cable and it excels are creating air and space around the musicians, it’s ability to render a 3D soundstage is outstanding.

Alpha-X interconnects feature the PMZ (Precision Matched Impedance) conductors. They feature ultra-pure OCC copper conductors, PTFE dielectrics, and precision braided shields that are extruded at one quarter the typical speed to achieve its level of precision. This precision results in superior signal fidelity, improved low-level detail and greater dynamic impact. The KPIP v2 (Kinetic Phase Inversion Process) conditions the conductors for a period of 4-days which enhances sonic performance and reduces burn in time. We have found that Alpha X requires around 5 days of consistent use to reach optimum performance.
